The 2025 Australian Marblehead Championships at Montrose Bay, Tasmania, witnessed a series of exhilarating races on Day 2 of the Championships.
Scott Condie from Canberra MYC, sailing his Grunge AUS 06, showcased exceptional skill, securing multiple first-place finishes and maintaining a consistent lead. Greg Torpy of Eagleby RYC, also with a Grunge design (AUS 25), delivered strong performances, including several top-three placements, keeping the competition intense.

Day 1 of the 2025 Marblehead Nationals was met with a nice 12 knot westerly which moved regularly keeping PRO, Stuart Dawes and his team on their feet.
From the get go, it was speed and smarts that would get the good results. Scott Condie from the Canberra Club blasted out of the blocks, only to falter late in the day with tricky conditions, whilst Greg Torpy from Queensland started slowly, but finished the day with a flurry of wins.

At the 2025 Annual General Meeting it was announced that Bill Clancy had been awarded Life Membership of the Australian Radio Yachting Association. This award recognizes many years of service to the radio sailing community throughout Australia.

Hobart’s iconic Australian Wooden Boat Festival, held from 7-10 February, is set to welcome an exciting addition to its celebration of maritime tradition, with the Risdon Brook Radio Sailing Club bringing the world of model yacht racing to the event.
