The Australian Radio Yachting Association (Incorporated) (ARYA) is the National Authority for Radio Sailing in Australia and is a national member of the International Radio Sailing Association (IRSA) and affiliated in Australia with Australian Sailing.
Formed in 1964, the ARYA is the National Class Authority (NCA) for five radio yacht classes, the International One Meter (IOM), International A Class, International Ten Rater, International Marblehead and RC Laser. The ARYA also supports the DF Class boats - the DragonForce 65 and DragonFlite 95. These classes are administered in conjunction with the Australian DF Radio Sailing Association, which is the National Class Association for those two classes.
The Association, through its member bodies in each State and the ACT administers all aspects of the sport including National and State Championships with club racing through a network of over 65 clubs for over 1200 sailors Australia wide.
Our primary objectives are to promote and support the sport of radio-controlled yacht racing in Australia and when represented in internationally recognised events.
