2026 IOM World Championships - website launched
The World Championships for the International One Meter class for 2026 will be held at Datchet Radio Yacht Club in London. The Event Website and Notice of Race have been posted.
The Model Yachting Association are well advanced in their preparation for the 2026 IOM World Championships. The Event Website can be found at this link: https://www.iomworlds2026.com/
Communication with Nigel Barrow - the Racing Officer for the MYA, indicates that they have preparations well underway and planning is progressing efficiently. Nigel has indicated their desire to stream the event, but that the cost of this exercise and the availability of cash sponsorship is making the task difficult. Still - there is a bit of time before the event, and with some luck and hard work - who knows!
In Australia, the ranking period is set to conclude seven months before the first day of the event - 15 October 2025. The ARYA will distribute Expressions of Interest for anyone who wishes to be considered for selection under the ARYA's Ranking Event Policy 2024, which can be found under "Sailing Services" on this website. Expressions of Interest will be forwarded to your State Committee for distribution to members in September 2025.
