2025 Marblehead and Ten Rater World Championships
The International Class Associations of the Marblehead and Ten Rater Classes have just announced on the Marblehead Class Association website, that the 2025 World Championships will be held in Saint Hilaire de Riez, France April 26rd to May 7th, 2025. At this stage, there have been no further details announced.
The ARYA have been in communication with the M and 10R Class Associations, seeing information for some time now. The normal ranking period for a World Championship closes 6 months prior to the first date of the event. This would normally put closing of entries on 26 October 2024.
However, in Australia, a fair number of Ten Rater and Marblehead Ranking events are held during November and early December. The ARYA have sought, and received dispensation to submit our entries by 24 December 2024, allowing for additional events to be scheduled and held during our spring and early summer months. State Associations may wish to schedule further M or 10R ranking events later in 2024.
The Ranking period is now open and will continue until 18 December 2024 (allowing a few days for compilation and notification before entries must be delivered). IF the date for entries is announced and it is later than this, we may be in a position to extend the ranking period, even though not many events take place in the lead-up to Christmas, New Year and early January. This will not be known until there is further information received from the event organisers.
An Expression of Interest form has been distributed to all State Associations for distribution to Ten Rater and Marblehead skippers. The form should be emailed to secretary@arya.asn.au as soon as possible. There Is no commitment as a consequence of submitting this form. It is simply to ensure information gets to those who may be interested in attending.
