2024/25 ARYA Committee
The Annual General Meeting of the ARYA was held in Port Adelaide during the 2024 IOM Australian Championships. The meeting was well attended. The support of many people who volunteered to serve on the ARYA Committee is appreciated.
Elections for quite a few positions were held, and a few changes have been made. After seven years at the helm, Andrew Reid is no longer our President. Andy was thanked for his service to the Association and his contribution was acknowledged. Other committee members to step down were Brett Osborne and Greg Torpy.
The new Committee is headed by Sean Wallis with Steve Sedgmen continuing in the role of Vice President. Scott Condie has taken on the role of Publicity Officer. We welcome Jimmy Mee (Qld) and Mark Newman (ACT) to the Committee to join Tony White and John Gower continuing in their roles. Dave Thomas (Treasurer), Glenn Dawson (Secretary), Robert Hales (Technical Officer), Ian Dowsett (Public Officer) and Sean Wallis (Registrar) continue in their positions.
The new Committee provides stability for the 2024/25 year, which was seen as being important with the hosting of the 2024 IOM World Championships.
The Association thanks those who put up their hands to volunteer, but were unsuccessful in the election.
