Pimped Up Paradox Wins NSW Marblehead GP2
A light south westerly breeze around 5 knots was all there was for the NSW Marblehead GP R2 hosted by the Northern Mariners.
A small fleet of eight boats entered the event and were able to get racing away with four races sailed before lunch, but the forecast was right (for the first time ever) and with just one race sailed post the break the breeze all but disappeared.
Scott Condie sailing his pimped up 20 year old Paradox showed that an old boat can still go well winning the day with 1, 1, 2, 2, 1 on the scorecard. It didn't all go his way with Pat O'Brien & David Mitchell sailing their Walicki Scalpel's, pressing Condie where they could to finish 2nd & 3rd respectively.
The racing was good, clean fun and the day was a great opportunity to resume sailing post COVID-19 whilst remaining compliant with the associated policies.
Thanks to Mark & Phil for their support on the day.
