ARYA Sanctioned Events Cancelled/Postponed Until 31 July 2020
The ARYA has made the decision to cancel or postpone all ARYA sanctioned events scheduled until 31 July 2020.
With the level of uncertainty around the longer term impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ARYA has also made the decision to cancel or postpone all scheduled ARYA sanctioned events until 31 July and includes the cancellation of the 2020 IOM Australian Championship.
The decision to cancel this event was not one that was taken lightly. We understand that a number of sailors will have already made arrangements for accommodation and transportation to Yarrawonga, but with the inability to provide any surety as to the event being conducted nor any ability to forecast a date for rescheduling, it has been decided that under the circumstances cancellation of the event is the most appropriate decision. For those who have entered this event, the refund of entry fees will be automatically processed over the coming days.
Where events have been postponed, rescheduling will be considered once we can resume radio sailing.
We will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19 and will communicate any further disruption to events accordingly.
