The first day started later than scheduled with a light breeze from the north east, the first two races were sailed in “A” rigs with race two at the top end of “A” quick changes were made to “B” and by race four most skippers were on “C” with the north easterly building.
Lunch was served from the motorhome by the mudder then back to it, some skippers were experiencing control and electrical issues which reduced the fleet to eight at times, by race nine most skippers were down to “C2” rigs, with racing finishing for the day at race 13.
Day two started with most skippers opting for “C” but soon changed down to “C2”, it wasn’t long for the “C3” to appear and for those without these small rigs, scissors appeared cutting “C2” down to suit the conditions, most skippers experienced control or electrical issues and at times the fleet was reduced to six and on one occasion down to five, the breeze was piping in at 25 knots with shooters up to 30 knots and by race nineteen the fleet was down to five with some races having four finishers.
By the end of the day, races twenty two to twenty four were sailed with “C” rigs with a fleet of five.
